Night Hikes are back at Sheep Pasture, with our Sheep Pasture After Dark program series!
Join NRT Educators Hannah and Tristan after hours, as we discover nature in a whole new way! Every month, we'll explore a new topic with a nighttime hike on our trails, hands-on activities, wildlife discoveries, and more! Programs are generally suitable for individuals and families of all ages (apart from November's New Moon Hike).
All programs will meet at the Carriage House on our Sheep Pasture property at 307 Main Street, North Easton, MA 02356. Programs are generally rain or shine, but will not run during severe inclement weather. Please see our Facebook or Instagram pages for the latest information on program cancellations or reschedulings!

New Moon Hike Monday, November 13 ~ 6:00 - 7:30PM This program is designed for adult and teenage audiences, and is not suited for children. Participants should be at least 13 years old. Embrace uncertainty and explore the dark woods of Sheep Pasture, as we venture safely together. NRT Educator Tristan will lead a guided hike through Sheep Pasture, focused on embracing the darkness and uncertainty that we all face in life. We'll learn how to become more comfortable and confident in unfamiliar settings, and gain a better understanding of ourselves and the people around us. (This program will involve some time in the darkness; no one will ever be alone, and everyone in the group will always be safe. We will be gently introducing ourselves to the dark, and slowly becoming more comfortable with being outside in the dark. However, this program may not be suitable for younger children or those with an intense fear of the dark or the woods.) |
Winter Solstice Walk Thursday, December 21 ~ 6:00 - 7:30PM Celebrate the year's end on the longest night of the year! NRT Educator Tristan will lead a guided hike under the light of the half-moon, exploring traditions and stories about the winter solstice from around the world. We'll also take time to reflect on what we are grateful for from the past year, and what we look forward to in the coming year. |
