The 2019 recipient of the Elise Ames Parker Award was Mrs. Alice McCarthy. A lifelong Easton resident, conservationist, and founding member of the NRT of Easton, Alice McCarthy has been actively involved in the conservation of land in and around Easton for over 50 years. Mrs. McCarthy worked to preserve and protect Wheaton Farm, Beaver Brooks Woods, as well as many other properties from development.
During the meeting and award presentation, Mrs. McCarthy shared her personal experiences of the early history of the NRT, with co-founders, Lyn White and Ginny Reusch, as they worked to make the future of Easton brighter for all.
The NRT, its Directors, and staff would all like to congratulate Mrs. Alice McCarthy on receiving the award, and we appreciate her service to the organization and the community.
