NRT Farmer's Market
May through October

The NRT Farmer's Market opens again this year on Tuesday, May 12th, 2009. As in previous years the location will be in the Ames field on Main Street (just west of the North Easton Post Office) across from Sheep Pasture. Many familiar vendors will be returning this year including Oakdale Farms, Puppy Luv Doggie Treats, Sacred Acres Farm (soaps and lotions), Annie B's Farm (honey), and Joanie's Greens. This year we will be adding Bay State Chocolates, Jordon Brothers Seafood, and Adam Tedeschi's fruits and vegetables. For more info, contact the NRT office at 508-238-6049.

Barn Dance Fundraiser
June 6th
7PM to 10PM

Come dance with us! Linda Leslie from New Bedford will be the "caller" accompanied by Amy and Jonathan Larkin from Cape Cod on guitar and fiddle. Light refreshments served. This event is for people of all ages and abilities and it promises to get your feet moving and your face smiling!

Odonate Study
May through October
Looking to spend a little time outdoors and help your community at the same time? Here at Sheep Pasture we have put together a volunteer program to survey the dragonflies and damselflies (odonates) found on our property. As a volunteer, you will help catch, identify, and release dragonflies and damselflies in identified habitats of Sheep Pasture property. The volunteers will be provided with all of the necessary materials for fieldwork and also a survey sheet to record their finings. If you are interested in helping us with this project please email Stephanie McNamara at smcnamara@nrtofeaston.org.

NRT Scouting Programs
September through June

Schedule an outdoor adventure for your scout group at Sheep Pasture! Let our staff of teacher/naturalists lead them in exploring the great outdoors while they fulfill some of their nature related badge requirements. We offer programs for Boy Scout troops and Girl Scout troops at all levels. For more info or to schedule a program, contact Monique at 508-238-6049 ext. 4.
Cost: $5 per scout ($50 group minimum)

Knee-High Nature Adventures
July and August
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
9AM to 11AM

Each day your child, along with a preschool naturalist, will focus on a nature-related theme while exploring the great outdoors of Sheep Pasture. Daily activities will include a nature hike/lesson, games, story, snack, and craft. This "drop-off" program is offered for preschoolers ages 4 to 5. Classes are held rain or shine. Pre-registration is required. Programs run with a minimum of 5 children and a maximum of 10.

Week 3 - July 21st, 22nd, 23rd
Week 4 - July 28th, 29th, 30th

Sheep Pasture Nature Camp
June, July, August
9AM to 3PM, Monday through Friday
Sheep Pasture Nature Camp is
an exciting week of exploration, songs, games, and crafts where campers from ages 6 through 12 learn to appreciate their environment. Campers explore the farm, fields, forests, and ponds at Sheep Pasture located in Easton, Mass. Daily discovery activities teach campers about local ecology and show them the important role that each of us plays in protecting our natural resources. This camp is a non-profit program operated by the Natural Resources Trust of Easton. Please visit the camp page for more information.
