VIRTUAL School Programs
The NRT’s education department offers a wide variety of engaging and interactive virtual STEM-based programs
that deliver science topics right to your students in a safe and personalized way. NRT's experienced educators use Zoom technology and engaging lessons to bring the wonders of the natural world to your students, regardless of their location. All NRT education programs are adaptable to meet the needs of both teachers and students, and can be applicable to students in grades K-12. Programs times can be scheduled for access by classroom, by grade level, or by school, allowing districts maximum flexibility to meet student learning goals. Programs are available on diverse topics, or customized programming is also available. How can public and private schools use NRT Virtual STEM programs to enhance student learning and engagement?
NRT's Virtual STEM programs are engaging for students in public schools, private schools, and homeschool learning environments. Programs and presentation schedules can be customized to meet the needs of individual schools.
While all NRT programs are STEM-based and are aligned with MA Curriculum Frameworks, NRT naturalists can create a custom program for your group's specific educational scope and sequence for your location. Classes can be scheduled in a variety of ways:

Please note: Due to current Covid-19 restrictions and guidelines, NRT is unable to schedule on-site visits at the Sheep Pasture facility for traditional class-sized groups or larger at this time. All programming for groups larger than 10 is offered through virtual programming only. For small group or individual family learning opportunities with NRT staff, please visit the NRT's Virtual and On Site Programs page or NRT's Pre-K Custom Programs page for more information on availability of customized programs.

- When students are in the school, schedule class programs when students in classrooms for an interactive virtual 'field trip' that is coordinated to in-school teaching
- For students who are learning remotely, use NRT Virtual STEM programs for robust at-home student learning activities. Schedule a time for classes to meet from home, ensuring all students have access to meaningful science education experiences, even when they are learning through their computers
- Dedicated science programming can be scheduled before or after school hours to provide science enrichment opportunities that many families want for their children when they are outside of the school building

- NRT staff can work with schools to schedule a single class session
- Several sessions of the same program can be scheduled, so more students have access to equitable learning experiences
- NRT staff can work with schools to schedule series of programs with different topics, times, and/or grade levels throughout the school year, depending on the district's needs
