February 12 - Night Hike 101
Sheep Pasture After Dark: Night Hike 101
Monday, February 12
5:00 - 6:30PM
Study up and hit the books, at Night Hike 101! Class is now in session!
NRT Educator Tristan will be leading a guided hike around Sheep Pasture's trails, and telling you everything you need to know about hiking safety, night hikes, and the best trails to take at Sheep Pasture! Under the light of a thin crescent moon, we'll have to practice using our night vision, learn how to listen with our feet, and think about what to do if we ever get lost!
In our Sheep Pasture After Dark program series, you can expect to discover nature in a whole new way! NRT Educators will guide you through our property after nightfall when our trails are closed to the public! Each program features a unique topic and is suitable for all ages unless noted otherwise. This program is suitable for all ages.
All hikes are slow-paced on relatively level trails, and we encourage you to bring flashlights, good walking shoes, plenty of water, and anything else you might need for our 90-minute excursion!
Sheep Pasture After Dark programs will meet in front of the Carriage House. The Carriage House can be found across the driveway from our chicken coops - it’s the building with two sets of double doors and the concrete ramp! The physical address for the Carriage House is 307R Main Street, North Easton.
Sheep Pasture After Dark programs are 100% outdoors, rain or shine – make sure you come dressed for the weather! In the event of severe weather, we will update this event post to reflect any cancellations or rescheduling.
Registration is required for participants 5 and up. Children 4 and under are free.
If you have any questions, please email NRT's Education Department!
