Pre-K On-Site
 Custom Science PROGRAMS

For small groups, homeschool, and Individual families

on-site Custom Programs for Pre-K

At NRT, we know that our smallest adventurers have a difficult time with virtual learning. It can be difficult for them to engage through the virtual world. Still looking for science-based learning for your little one? We have customizable programs dedicated to teaching basic science and nature concepts to our youngest visitors- while still having fun! With interactive hikes, treasure hunts, games, and crafts, NRT's pre-K programs are perfect for getting the little ones outdoors. Classes for families can now be scheduled with NRT staff at a time that is convenient to attend! All programs utilize safe group practices to maintain healthy bodies and minds, including social distancing, limited contact, and mask use during programs.

Each of the pre-K  programs offered is based in science and learning about the natural world. From farm animals to trees, there are many different adventures for your young child to explore with NRT. Programs can be customized specifically for your family's needs and your child's interests. Programs can be booked in several ways:
  • One time programs can be scheduled to give your family an opportunity to learn outdoors and enjoy the natural world at a time that is convenient for you.
  • Multiple program sessions can be booked for your family in sets of 2, 4, or 6 sessions, giving you something to look forward to in the weeks ahead, at a time that works best for everyone.

Pre-K programs are between 40-60 minutes, depending on topic, and must be scheduled with an NRT staff member. Pre-K programs are appropriate for ages 3-5. Parents must remain with their children during the program; at least one adult is needed for every 3 children. When families speak with a staff member to schedule, they can choose from one of our topics, let NRT staff choose a fun theme, or discuss individual programs they are interested in! Pre-K science programs have a limited group size and are specially designed to give your family or group a private class experience at the Sheep Pasture property. Led by an NRT staff teacher, each program will take place outdoors a the beautiful Sheep Pasture in Easton. For more information regarding all participant requirements, scheduling, and available programs, please contact the NRT's Education Department.

"Your efforts to make sure he got to have his class when we had technical difficulties was outstanding. We really appreciated you going the extra mile... really thankful for your flexibility and understanding. "

“The session expectations/ daily expectations were clear and the instructors always asked if we had questions and made sure that the [children] understood the directions. The materials were easy to follow and set-up.  Communication with instructors was on-going and response time was quick.
