Beginning on Earth Day, April 22nd, the NRT will be hosting a series of volunteer dates at Sheep Pasture to work on getting the trails ready for summer. Dates are planned throughout April, May, and June, with some weekend and weekdays planned to accommodate varied schedules. Volunteers are welcome to stay part of the time or for the entire time scheduled. On each scheduled day teams will meet in front of the Sheep Pasture Carriage House building before heading out on the trails. In case of rain, the cleanup day will be cancelled until the next scheduled date listed on the website.
People of all ages and abilities are welcome, and children are invited to come with parental supervision. For safety reasons, volunteers should plan to wear work clothes, bring gloves, and wear closed toed shoes. The NRT staff will provide any tools necessary for the jobs at hand, and water to keep everyone hydrated! We do request that no pets be brought to Trail Cleanup Days.
We hope you can join us on April 22nd from 10 am to noon for a fun and productive time! For more dates and times for 2016 Trail Cleanup Days, please see the NRT's website or click here for more information. We'll see you outside!
