Here are some of the volunteer openings we have available this fall:
* Harvest Fair - Sunday, October 4th, 10 am - 4 pm - This is a great one day opportunity! Volunteer shifts run from 2 hours to all day, and tasks include providing information to visitors, maintaining the event grounds, helping at food booths, assisting in parking areas, and working at various activity locations. Volunteers who work for 2 hours or more receive free admission to the fair as well! For more information, please send your name, availability, and contact information to Leslie Whitty, and you will be contacted with available opportunities.
* Harvest Fair Bakers - October 3rd, drop off donations between 9 am - 2 pm -No on site time needed! Each year the NRT's Harvest Fair hosts a bake table that is popular with all of our visitors. We need donations from talented bakers to help make the table a success! Please package individual servings, and mark if items contain nuts. Items can be dropped off at the NRT Carriage House the day before or day of the event. For more information, call the NRT office at 508-238-6049. A delicious way to contribute!
* Garden Crew - Do you have a passion for gardening? We can use your help! Assist with weeding, edging, and maintaining gardens at the Sheep Pasture property, spring through fall. Flexible schedule, depending on your availability. For information, contact Jen Cummings.
* Pumpkins and Pizza - Friday, October 30th, 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm - Help NRT staff with event management, including assisting participants, clearing tables, maintaining supplies during the event. Contact Leslie Whitty for more information or to sign up.
If you have another talent you would like to share with NRT, please contact us for more information on how you can volunteer! We appreciate everyone's effort and time on behalf of Sheep Pasture!
Please note, due to the popularity of the NRT's well-loved farm animals, we receive many requests for animal care volunteer opportunities. Currently there are no volunteer openings in this area.
